Kevin R. Mulcahy, FACMPE is a healthcare executive and consultant known for helping organizations navigate payer complexity through practical strategy, strong relationships, and collaborative problem solving. With more than 30 years of experience across national payers, major health systems, and innovative MedTech companies, he brings a rare blend of payer insight, revenue cycle leadership, and provider‑side operational expertise.
Kevin is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE), a distinction earned by fewer than 2% of medical practice leaders nationwide. His Fellowship reflects a deep, long‑standing commitment to advancing physician practice performance, continuous learning, and elevating the operational and financial health of medical groups.
As Founder of Mulcahy Healthcare Advisors, Kevin partners with physician practices, healthcare organizations, and individuals to resolve payer challenges, strengthen revenue cycle performance, and improve access to care. His revenue cycle background spans the full continuum — from benefit verification and prior authorization to coding, denials, appeals, and payer escalation. He has led teams responsible for end‑to‑end revenue cycle operations, giving him a practical understanding of how payer decisions impact cash flow, staffing, and patient experience.
